Happy last day of Chanukah! Tonight we lit the Menorah all the way and I made latkes with sour cream and apple sauce. Chuck was afraid to try my latkes, but I made them out of a box - how bad could they be? They were great, just like tasty little hashbrowns!
Aurora stuck to her Cheerios... or should I say, the Cheerios stuck to her!
Her newest trick is holding her hands out when she wants to be picked up. I think it's adorable, and the more she can communicate with us, the better.

PS: This was my 200th blog post!
Congrats on your 200th blog post! When you were a baby, you'd hold your arms up for me to pick you up, and I'd say, "Oh, you want me to hold you? Okay." Then, as you got a little older, you started reaching your arms up and saying, "Hode you." It was so charming - and so smart of you! - I remember it to this day.
Congrats on your 200th blog post! You definitely take after your mom & Joey for writing entertaining & informative blogs.
I've heard that children get presents on each of the eight days of Chanukuh. I presume Aurora received lots of presents for both Chanukah & Christmas. I worked for a woman with a Catholic/Jewish marriage, so her daughter enjoyed the advantage of observing both sets of holy days, too.
Thanks for all the writing you do and the pictures. Since we can't be with you in person, it helps to have all the blogs especially over the holidays.
I've been in Phoenix area for 3 days with Andrew and Julia and my friend Marlene. We were so busy that I didn't have a chance to check email and the blogs. I'm getting caught up today and really appreciate all the holiday items.
Next time we come to Austin, You'll have to take us to the Austin Art Museum so we can see the statue of Aurora.
