The twins are making the transition now too, and they’re Aurora's best daycare friends. Carole said she would’ve loved to keep Aurora in the infant room longer because she’s so sweet and easy to care for, but it was time for the twins to move up (they’re more aggressive) and she wanted to keep them together.Along with the new room, new toys, and new teachers, comes a whole new menu of foods to try. One of the great things about the childcare center we chose is that they provide snacks and lunch for the kids, including vegetarian options everyday. My homework is to review the next two week’s of menus and let them know what Aurora can and can’t eat. It’s kind of freaking me out because I feel like we just mastered baby food, and now we’re already graduating to real people food!?
Here’s next Monday’s menu:
Morning snack: Bananas and Cheerios
Lunch: Veggie pasta, green beans, peaches
Afternoon snack: Goldfish
Aurora can probably try just about all of that. She may be small for her age, but she just got a little bigger!

The Ducks Room sounds really cool to our Cheezhead Chief Duck John. When does Aurora get to eat her first hamburger or other meat? What is a typical age for potty training?
I haven't decided yet when I'll let Aurora try meat. Probably not until she can talk and tell me if she wants it! At daycare they even have veggie nuggets on chicken nugget day, so I doubt she'll even notice the difference.
Babies are usually potty trained between 2-3 years old. We've got a while to go!
Our babies are almost a year old! My how time flies! What a big girl Aurora is...Zeland will be jealous when I tell him Aurora gets to eat goldfish!
Sounds pretty delicious! Pretty soon it will be nutri-grain bars, string cheese and gatorade all-stars (add a banana which Aurora already gets, and you have my typical workday lunch.) later she can graduate to fried oysters and onion rings. have fun, love, susanna
Is goldfish a new delicacy or is it just for babies? Has Aurora's mom tried it yet?
Silly Cheezhead... Goldfish are yummy little cheese crackers!
Wow, little Aurora is getting so big so fast! The Lambs room was so nice. Oh well, on to the Ducks - we're sure she'll do great.
Aurora looks like she's having fun in daycare with all her buddies. Glad it's a good place for her.
The "Ducks Room"!! Wow!! On to bigger and better things.
