It should be no surprise to anybody that we have been going, going, going all weekend. Yesterday Aurora's Girl Scout troop went on a hike at Commons Ford Park, and while we've been to that park before, we'd never done this hike. We brought the boys along because Clark was such a good little hiker at the Wild Basin Preserve, but this was a much more intense hike. It started out easy enough, but by the end we'd had injuries, arguments, treacherous hills and rocks, people who turned around, and a firm talking to about how Girl Scouts stick together! Our family emerged from the wilderness unscathed and the girls each got a well earned hiking badge.

Afterwards, Clark complained that he was hot and sweaty and needed ice cream, which everybody agreed was a great idea! Aurora's really enjoying Girl Scouts this year. After going back to our cookie mom three times, we decided that we've sold enough cookies. Our stash at home is GONE! Aurora thanked her customers, we turned in our money, and then we got word that next weekend she gets to man a booth outside of Randall's! That should be fun. If you missed out or don't live in the area, you can still
order online and have them shipped directly to you.
Today we wanted to see Kung Fu Panda 3 and I needed to get a long run in, so I decided to run 9.5 miles to the movie theater and have the family meet me there. I'm not sure that sitting still in the theater for 2-hours eating popcorn was the most ideal post-run recovery plan, but it worked out just fine.
After lunch (and a shower), it was time to run errands. We took a trip to the library and did some food shopping before Aurora and Clark both got haircuts. Don't they look great!
I gave Chuck a haircut when we got home and he looks great too. I'm about to get up and make dinner, but I must admit I'm really enjoying these peaceful moments just sitting and blogging. All this going makes for one tired mama!
