This morning we did something I've wanted to do with Aurora for awhile now... we went bowling!!! Chuck wasn't sure she was ready for bowling yet, but he didn't know that you could use bumpers AND rails! Truthfully, I didn't know either. Our friends Bethany & Matt live near this great bowling alley and invited us to join them and their two boys for breakfast and bowling. How fun and easy could it be?

It was SO easy that Aurora almost won! She came in second place and nearly broke 100. On the 7th frame she got a strike by pushing the ball down the rails sideways with her eyes closed. Bragger!

She was also a great cheerleader, clapping for everybody and jumping around with Orion, who was amazingly happy and fun to bowl with. When it was Aurora's turn, she'd pick up the ball and say "oh, this is heavy!" in a silly deep voice. Another fun family activity for a hot summer weekend.

I never heard of bumper bowling before, but certainly a great idea for kids, and another fun activity for Aurora.
She loves to learn & try new things. Kudos to her parents for taking the time to explore new a activities with her!
What a fun thing to do! Aurora sure has a good time. And congrats to AMB for the highest score!
I wonder if there is "bumper bowling" in the Peoria or Cottonwood area. I'll have to check it out for Zeland. Sounds like a lot of fun. Aurora and Amber did so well.
I am not surprised in the least that Aurora is an amazing bowler. I taught her that.
